The results of a national survey conducted in this year by Zogby Analytics for the Foundation for Community Association Research on homeowner satisfaction with community associations has been published by the Community Associations Institute. The survey concludes that despite the negative aspects that are associated with living in a community that is governed by a homeowners association, the vast majority of homeowners are overwhelmingly satisfied with their communities. The Community Associations Institutes’ complete summary of the results of the survey may be viewed via the following link:
Our HOA board has totally destroyed our buildings. They have increased our maimtance to 950.00 a quarter. We are only 48 units and the board keeps putting band-aids on all projects. They have taken our painting reserve( which was vote on by our members at 26 years ago) and put in a contingency fund. Statuary Reserves can not be comingled !! Buildings never painted; utility sheds all leaking.
Rotten roofs covered over by epoxie by hand man and still leak. The board is certified and their fiduciary duties have been totally disregarded. They should be suspended until our HOA is brought up to as close to original condition as possible !!
