HB 98 and HB 99, two new bills that impact homeowners associations, are currently on track for approval in the 2015 session of the Utah legislature.
HB 98 defines terms, addresses requirements and prohibitions applicable to rules, modifies procedures for restricting or preventing rentals and for the assessment and appeal of fines;
HB 99 will open most association meetings to all homeowners – excepting only committee meetings and board meetings to discuss confidential matters that are appropriate for executive session meetings. The bill would also require email notification of meetings to homeowners if requested.
