Associations Pondering How to Deal With New Marijuana Laws

The February 12, 2014 article by Lourdes Medrano  highlights the issues that various homeowners associations are now dealing with concerning the trend to legalize the use of marijuana for medical purposes in many states.   Associations are now rethinking their policies about the use of marijuana by members of homeowners associations.

HOA's cannot supersede state or federal law. They are not law enforcement officers. They need to mind their own business and this marijuana use is not their business. Unless, of course, it's impacting other people. Just follow the laws of your particular state. This is really a no-brainer and anyone who thinks otherwise needs to get a life because this is intrusion into somebody's private life.
